Assistance to the production

This assistance translates to the attribution of a grant up to 800,000 francs for films of less than 20 minutes in length, and can reach up to 1,200,000 francs for films between 20 and 50 minutes in length.

Provision of aerial images from the provincial video library

The South Province can sell the rights of use for aerial shots from its video library to production companies, to independent directors and to associations wishing to acquire them to produce any audiovisual product, in particular :

• Any media : documentary, magazine, report, fiction (short film, feature film, fiction series), musical clip.
• Any institutional video : internal communication, presentation, prevention spot
• Any advertisement : commercial advertising spot.

The president of the Province assembly can exempt all or part of these costs if the project is of general interest or is a development of New-Caledonia at an international level.

Support fund for audiovisual and cinematographic production in New-Caledonia

The New-Caledonian government hosting this support fund, put in charge, in accordance to the decree n°2017-1327 of the 06/06/2017,  the South Province's Local Film Commission, of the instruction of the dossiers.

These aids aim to promote the development of a quality cinematographic and audiovisual industry in New-Caledonia. They have for object the professionalization of a cultural sector that creates jobs and wealth and the contribution to the image of New-Caledonia. These aids also participate to a Caledonian audiovisual and cinematographic heritage.

The projects that are retained must have economic benefits in New-Caledonia especially for local businesses, providers and professionals and have a significant use of resources in terms of personnel, technical resources and logistics available in New-Caledonia.
